1. Choose two of the characters in this book and write a short description of each of them. Provide as much detail as possible about their physical characteristics, relationships, and personalities. Ask your Blogger Buddy who their favorite characters are?
My first favorite characters is Jesse because he's really active and polite to Winnie when she entered the woods. He's totally hot in the movie and the book based on the movie.
My second favorite character is Winnie because when she told the toad she was running away in the morning, she wasn't kidding. She stood for her rights, and met kind people when she did.
Who are your favorite characters and why?
2. Describe the woods next to the cottage. It was incredible from the description. I would have loved to see it in a picture or something. 3. What amazing fact about the Tucks is revealed? That they can live forever. What do you think about it? I would love to live forever. The world would change and I would get to see it. What do think about the Tucks amazing fact? Ask your Blogger Buddy what they think too.4. Have you ever felt like running away like Winnie? Why or why not? Yes, I have always wanted to run away because my mom is always threating to send me to Kansas City, where my homeless dad lives.5. Tell about a time when you were told a fantastic story that was supposed to be true, and you were not sure whether or not to believe it. About the time my mom said she had to walk up a hill a long way to school back in the day. Have you ever been told a story like that where you were told a story and you didn't know if u should belive it? Ask your Blogger Buddy to tell about a time this may have happened to them. 6. How was the home lifestyle of the Tucks different from that of the Fosters? The Fosters are clean and the Tucks aren't. 7. Find a simile, a metaphor, and a personification in your reading. Remember a simile compares things to one another by using the word “as” or “like”. A metaphor compares two different things, but it does not use “as” or “like”. A personification is giving an animal or object a human characteristic. Please note what page you found your type of figurative language and type out the entire sentence that you find it in. 8. Start an on-going conversation with your blogger buddy about the advantages to living forever and the disadvantage to living forever. Tell them what you are thinking after reading this much of the book and they will tell you how they are feeling about it as well. Ask them WHY they feel it is an advantage or disadvantage. I so totally want to live forever. Its seems so cool, but if my friends found out they might think I was a freak or something. Would you like to live forever to see the world change. I would. Bye!
