1. Jonas’s community focuses on sameness; yet they don’t believe that there should be two identical people, twins, in the community. What might be the community’s reasons for thinking this way? Do you agree with this rule? Why or why not? How would you go about trying to change it? What would be your plan of action?

The community thinks this because they will not be able to tell which one is which. No because I would like a twin because you can tell seacrets and best of all they won't tell anyone. I would tell them that some people whould probily like a twin.

2.What are your thoughts on Jonas’s escape plan? Chapter 20

I think that is great because you don't have to do anything someone tells you to do. I would not do what a person tells me to do.

3.What do you think will happen in the community now that Jonas has left? What do you think The Giver will do to help?

I think the community will have to find a new person to replace the giver's job. Also I think his family will go crazey if they find out. I think he will tell Jonas where to go.

4. Jonas begins to experience some of the things that the community did not have to worry about, such as hunger, pain, and poor weather. Do you see any advantages to a community like Jonas’s? Are the advantages worth dealing with the disadvantages? Is it worth it? Explain why or why not. What are some things in your life that you wish you or your community did not have to worry about? Ask your blogging buddy the same question.

No I do not see any advanteges to Jonas's Community. No the disadvanteges are not worth dealing with the advanteges. No it is not worth having to deal with hert or being in pain. Being in pain is not worth it. I wish my community did not have to deal with pain even though I am not in a community. Has she had any experiences that she could share with you about the consequences of making the wrong choice?

You don't gain anything by making the wrong choices you lose things by making the wrong choices. I made a wrong choice by lieing to my mom and she made me wright 100 times I will not lie. He think's this way because is it not right to mack fun of other people tthat is different then you. It would be different because no one will be saying bad things about other people. After reading chapters 1-3, answer the following questions.
1. At the end of the evening meal, each person in the community must share his feelings with the members of his family unit. What is significant about this ritual? Does your family have any rituals? If so, explain.
My family does now have any rituals, exspecially not like that. I think that it is significant because people say not to bottle up emotions inside of you or you'll go crazy so it's really significant to shra ebad feelings and good feelings too.

2.What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of being given a lifetime job? Your blogging buddy may have some knowledge about this topic because she probably has a job or has in the past. Ask her what she thinks are advantages and disadvantages to this type of system.
Well, a advantage is that you will never have to go looking for a job or get rejected from a job if you're are doing poorly because they pick out a special job that is just right for you. A disadvantage I think is that if you're not really satisfied or having a hard time or don't like your job you can't switch...

3. Do you think public humiliation is a good method of punishment? Why or why not? Ask your blogging buddy what her opinion is.
I do not like public humiliation because not everyone needs to know that you did something bad or wrong. But if the thing that they did was really bad and they need to be really punished it would be a good method of punishment.
