Hi my name is Josh and I'm 11. I'm in this club because I just now started to like reading and this club is basically all about reading. I like to play football alot at school. When I'm at home I like to play Xbox. The book that we are reading here is Tuck Everlasting and I think that it will be a good book.

Reading Assignment-Week 2

Week Three–Reading Assignment: Read Chapters 12-25 and the Epilogue. and come ready to discuss and answer questions next week on the Blog! Please do not ask to log onto the blog during the school day, our club will allow ample time to complete any/all assignments. Use your “notes” section of your notebook to make notes about each chapter.

Week Two–Blogging Activities: First read and respond (if you would like) to all of your questions your Blogger Buddy has responded to and continue any conversations that you would like to.

1. Choose two of the characters in this book and write a short description of each of them. Provide as much detail as possible about their physical characteristics, relationships, and personalities. Ask your Blogger Buddy who their favorite characters are?

2. Describe the woods next to the cottage.

3. What amazing fact about the Tucks is revealed? What do you think about it? Ask your Blogger Buddy what they think too.

4. Have you ever felt like running away like Winnie? Why or why not?

5. Tell about a time when you were told a fantastic story that was supposed to be true, and you were not sure whether or not to believe it. Ask your Blogger Buddy to tell about a time this may have happened to them.

6. How was the home lifestyle of the Tucks different from that of the Fosters?

7. Find a simile, a metaphor, and a personification in your reading. Remember a simile compares things to one another by using the word “as” or “like”. A metaphor compares two different things, but it does not use “as” or “like”. A personification is giving an animal or object a human characteristic. Please note what page you found your type of figurative language and type out the entire sentence that you find it in.

8. Start an on-going conversation with your blogger buddy about the advantages to living forever and the disadvantage to living forever. Tell them what you are thinking after reading this much of the book and they will tell you how they are feeling about it as well. Ask them WHY they feel it is an advantage or disadvantage.

all about me - Kirsten

Hey whats upI am Kirsten and I am in the sixth grade and I love to read. The books I love to read are the Series of Unfortunate Events books I just started book 7 of 11 books in the series. I have friends like Ashley, Moriah, Amber, Candace, Chelcia and some boys named Josh, Matt, Jacob,Marshall and Toad. I am in the club because I love to read and some of my friends are in it. What courses are you takin in college?

I am interestend in law and government, I love math and spelling because those are the easy subjects.Math is ok but it is not my best subject but i still like it. We are studying geometery.

I have a lot of friends (like 50) but my best friends are Chelcia, Tanner (Toad) Ashley,Moriah,Candace,
Cierra, Tyler, Sam, Jacob and Josh. Tyler is a girl by the way. I really have a good time with my friends.

All about me-Ashley

Hey what is up? My name is Ashley and I am in 6th grade. My teacher is Ms.Waite. She is a very nice teacher. Some of the things I like to do is play football with Josh and all my friends at my school, like Kirsten, Moriah, Amber, Chelcia, Candace and lot's of other people. Some other things I like to do is read good books. I love the color pink, black, red, green, and blue. (Pretty much every color.) I live with both my parents and 1 brother, 1cat, 1 hamester, and 3 fish. Some of the reasons I am in this club is because I like to read and some of my friends are in it. In school there is a group I made up called the 6 chicks. The people in it are Moriah, Ashley (me, LOL), Kirsten, Candace, Amber, and Chelcia. It used to be Me, Courtney, Briana, Candace, Moriah, and Kirsten. I also have a few questions for u like what kind of car do u have? I have a grand am. (I can't drive it yet though.)
